| Hey Guys!
I know I have been hopeless with the livejournal, but so busy and facebook is so much kooler now. Anyways, I'll give u a quick update on things.
I went to the US for 2 weeks i think about 2 months ago. That was pretty awesome and visited the LA, Houston, and San Francisco. I have photos on facebook to prove it.
Came back from the US and mildly celebrated my 100th day since I dated Leigh, though initially i wasn't aware it was our 100th day. That was probably the first time Leigh has done anything sweet... and that it probably won't happen again, Lolz. And so far we been together for 4 months.. and a bit.
I caught a virus the week after and now leigh has come down with both tonsilitus and glandular fever. I still have not contracted either of those or have not shown signs of it yet. I swear we have the worse couple medical history. This isn't the first time Leigh has been sick since we dated, he had tonsilitus early this year too and a chest infection. I went to visit him on Sunday, he didn't look good at all... and I got to meet his Mum. So wasn't expecting her so I was pretty quiet most of the time, but she seems nice. I hope she doesn't hate me. I think she was excited to meet me, but I was being shy so I think she lost the enthusiasm cause I think she imagined me to be mega awesome.
Anyways....
Uni has been ridiculously busy, I have so much work it's crazy!

| Update time!
I went to my first uni function on Weds night. I had a pretty good time. Even though, nothing went my way.. Oh well...
It was a pretty fun night, the boys made me dance, and succeeded badly, cuz I'm the worse dancer ever!
The cruise was pretty kool, but i was disappointed that they didn't have an open rooftop.. and docklands isn't that pretty at night. Southbank would have prettier lights. Docklands were pretty much just industrial crap... oh and below are photos of the after party... there's more photos coming, but my friends haven't got a hold of the other cameras....
( Photos ) I also bumped into Swelly and Chris (sean's best mate) at the place. Swelley came as a bogan, which i didn't realise was considered fancy dress and Chis came as a cowboy. I came as formal cuz i thought more people would come as formal..... and I think I dressed a bit too skanky, but Siao told me I got away with it cuz I look innocent, so phew.... that dress only cost me $80 and it was from allanah hill too. What a bargain!
It was so funny, Digsy and leigh kept on finding props from costume at the after party. We ended up leaving the after party, with harry potter glasses, a fake nose ring, a plastic machine gun and pirate hand hook thingy. we went crown afterwards and I'm surprised how digsy didn't get stopped with a fake machine at the crown. We went to gamble a bit, it was so kool! We played blackjack. I lost $10 but then both Digsy and Leigh gave me $5 each and I won an extra $10 and they wouldn't take my winings so I scored $20. So I made a profit of $10, really.
Oh and there were so many slutty girls at the party...... Leigh's friend who is like 6'7" and pretty hot if he wasn't such a whore... got with at least 3 girls at that night and he has a gf. WHORE! And there would like girls who would randomly hug and kiss them on the cheek. Some of them were so ugly! ewwwwww and my friend, (another) Nick was coming over to hug me and was intercepted by some random girl and she hugged him and gave him a kiss. And I'm like do u know her, he's like no! She was so gross too.
Oh and there was this random creepy guy in camflage uniform who just came into our circle and danced with us. It was so weird, we were like who the fuck is he? But anyways, it was a great night, though at lesat 3 hearts were broken or will be broken, but a great night indeed. | | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| Haven't updated for a while. I thought i should since I don't speak to any of u at all. Besides occasional alison.
Not much has happend. Back at uni and have a crush on a boy which will never eventuate. But I think I'm getting closer, at least this guys invite me out. So pretty much the same thing happens every year.I'm going to try to work hard but will probably fail miserably.
Oh this year I get to do actual projects. Where we have proper clients to deal with. I guess its kinda like IBL, except we don't work for a company. But it should be exciting. I think I found a smart group. I was so smooth I spoke to the guys once and got on to their team. I think they know what there doing cuz i dun. But they're nice and explain what i dun understand, which is EVERYTHING.
Oh and I'm meeting Arlen, Rika, and Bec tmr for lunch and then we are going to a BBQ that i was invited to by the guy I like. I'm excited, it should be good, if I don't go all weird. And my cousin described me as a Walking Talking Diary, that's the best description I have ever got. | Yes!! I got a new acoustic guitar for early xmas present from my parents. Well actually 60% of it is from them and 40% is from me to me....hehehe. But I'm obsessed with it. The RRP was $1195 but it was on sale and got it $400 off. Pic ( here ). Except its not as bright as the photo. It's actually alot darker, it looks more brown than red in real life. The colour is probably closer to the one that has the photo of the whole body. I was actually going to get ( this ). I did so much research on the cort one. but didn't even get it. The cort one looks a little more glamourous with crazy inserts. But it didn't sound as good as the one i bought. Cuz this one was a solid spuce top and mine is a solid cedar top. Though spuce is good for the long run, but cedar sounds prettier. And mine isn't asian, lol. The corts are made from korea. I think mine is made from canada, well thats what it says....... but they're probably a really fine print that says something made in china. Everything is made in china these days....
Anyways, holidays been pretty good..... and fairly laid back.... Though this week was quiet. Everything that came up was cancelled somehow. I was suppose to see Casino Royale with "the azn" but things came up and that was cancelled. And was suppose to go to a pub crawl that this guy (scott) invited me to that I met at a going away party. But didn't cuz it was hot and I got lazy and we (siao and I) think he likes me but it's ashame I don't like him. I only initially wanted to go to the pub crawl cuz his friend timmy invitd me thru him and timmy is the nicest person i ever met.
I felt sorry for siao cuz i dragged her to what she called scott's and my first date but i ruined cuz i dragged her along. Scott ignored siao the whole night pretty much. She felt terrible for being the third wheel and i felt bad for dragging her to such a boring dinner. Scott was so rude and unfriendly! I owe Siao big time! I think that's as exciting as goss goes with me. Though I wish it was good goss......
Oh i also have gone cd crazy i bought like 5 cds in a month. That's alot for someone who generally downloads music. CDs bought below.....

I love Damien Leith, I love his voice. And he's not THAT ugly as Mark Holden described. Mum and I don't think he's ugly. He's just not conventionally attractive, but definitely not ugly. He's kinda cute in a irish way. I can't wait till his actual album comes out. Though I have a feeling aus idol will ruin him.

| OMGz NICHOLAS TSE IS MARRIED!!! I'm gonna go and slit my wrist now, lol..
Rumour has it that he is expecting a child that's why he got married. His married to some other HK movie star, Cecilia Cheung. Cecilia mother's like half asian so she's like 1/4 not asian.
Apparently, Cecilia didn't even know she was getting married at the time. It was a surprise wedding how bizarre but sweet. Though only he can pull off cuz he's so hot. It was so random. THey just recently got back together......and bam! Crazy its like the news of the month. It's all over HK, every second on star news is about him.
I hope she is pregnant they're going to have hot kids.
And the parents didn't even know about the wedding. It was really hush hush, not even the wife knew. So bizarre..............
Anyways, not much other news really. Though I'm making a simple search engine i've been working on the project for nearly 3 weeks now and I still haven't finished. Despite how much work i'm putting into it for only 15, I do enjoy the process of making it. I've been like sleeping at odd hrs of the mornings cuz i stay up making the search engine. I haven't slept earlier than 3am since ages.......
It's so complicated but so satisfying when parts of the program work. So far I have able to make it take in a directory of file with htmls renamed and index all the words in the files and spit out a file that list all the distinctive words and which files contain that word. And work out pagerank (Look it up on google) for all the files. I'm half way thru the last part. But the other half is ridiculously long task. I have to make my search engine show a snippet of the file that contains the word. So crazy....................

| Hey Guys!!
I know have been terribly bad with catching up and updating lj. I wanted to come to Nick's on Friday but Grandma was in hospital and had a minor heart attack and she's back in there again. Dad couldn't drive me to Nick's and he wanted me to be nearby just in case anything happens. So after visit to grandma I ended up meeting Siao and Caz in the city late.
I was just smsing nick was it nick, I'm not sure cuz my mob won't turn on and im using my mums and don't have my phone book entries. Anyways I sms nick or whoever that she was out of the hospital but she's like back in there within half an hr. Crazy...... I saw her today again she seems okay but just exhausted. It's weird she has suffer no pains, except she's always tired and itchy. Every time I'm babysitting her she always sleeps. Though I'm kinda glad cuz we kinda have a bit of language barrier. Well I understand her but she doesn't understand me cuz she's old and forgetful and has a hearing problem.
I hope she's going to b back in shape after they give them this new medicine. I mean she really does want to see me get married, lol. She said to my aunt that all I hope now is to live to see Kylie get married and I'm not even gonna bother with Kimberley (my sis)
I dunno wats with the past year. First it was my grandma on my mum's now on my dad's. Crazy.......
Anyways.....oh is Dean Gayer actually a virgin. My cousin and sis, both 10 yrs old, told me Dean is a virgin. Can anyone verify that? There's noway he's a virgin! He's too good looking.
And is anything happening on Tuesday night? Like Trivia? I'll may come to that.
Oh oh oh I went shopping today for the first time since HK cuz I have been lazy. It's so good to fit in small clothes again! I picked up a size 6 jeans! Okay its from Country Road so everything is bigger than the actual size. I swears its a size 10! Cuz its still a little loose and I'm generally a size 8 and I haven't lost THAT much weight I still fit into my old pants and my pants aren't the type to shrink. Anyways, I don't have much goss really. Oh actually, I think the Judo Club at melb uni is over cuz there were some communication problems btw the instructor and the president.
Just when I was getting better. Now I have to start my gym routine dammit.
AND OMGZ HOW HOT ARE THE NEW IPOD NANOS!!
I WANT ONE!! I PREFER PINK BUT the 8GB only comes in black. But will have to wait when my current ipod dies. So hopefully during this period they will bring out a pink one. Though I should have a change but the new pink is so much brighter. It would have been kool if it came in the same colour as my phone. mmmmm hot pink. It would all match my room (my featured wall is painted mettalic hot pink)

| | OMGz I got my yellow belt for Judo. It's so kool! But it wasn't terribly hard to pass. The instructor basically made me do the moves until I got it right. I did them all wrong on first go. There was this one move that I have perfected overtime but it turned out it wasn't on the exam, but it was on the orange belt exam. So I have that one set for next level. I nearly got most of the throws right it was just my foot positioning. But the rest was hard. You would think that throwing someone bigger than you would be harder. But I realized that being shorter, its actually easier for me to throw. Cuz I don't have to bend as far and my centre of mass is also lower. | Okay im in one of the computer labs waiting for my lecture to start and thought I would update. There's not much to say really but I thought I need to kill some time. Oh and Alison if your reading Dan is hot!
Anyways........I've been pretty good with Uni. Actually getting to work. I was so proud last night I made an algorithm to check a wining combination for tic tac toe. Okay some of you may have discovered but I just figured it okay. You see if the tic tac toe board was positions were labeled from 0-8 like below.
012 <-row 1
345 <-row 2
678 <-row 3
To work out a wining combination in a row. All you need to do is divide all positions number that the player has by 3. And 3 position number answers give you the same result then its a wining combination. Bare in mind that the computer rounds things down even though its like 1.5, the comp will consider it 1 not 2.So for example. If you were X and they were positioned 3 4 5. 3/3=1, 4/3=1 and 5/3=1.
It's the same with columns except instead you find the remainder when divided by 3.
ie 1 4 7. see 1/3 -> r = 1, 4/3 -> r = 1 and 7/3 -> r = 1.
and with diagonal the position number has to be even abd all 3 numbers add up to 12.
But apparently there's another way of working out something to do with magic squares. Oh well stuff them I like mine better.
Okay yeah I'm stuck on programming mode since I'm doing 3 programing subjects this semester
